DEPARTMENTS OR MODULES WITH RESTRICTIONS:

Please read the information on our restricted departments, which are listed at the bottom of our Guidance for Overseas Partners & Advisors page as well as on our module selection page as there are changes from last year.  Our main restrictions apply to English Literature, History, Film (heavily restricted, please note that we only accept Film theory as appropriate background for modules from the Film department) and Informatics (Computer Science), with additional restrictions to European and International Studies, Global Health and Social Medicine and Law.  Students should be aware of these restrictions when applying to King’s in the first instance, as well as whether their major is actually offered to avoid disappointment.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PROOF OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

Please refer to our undergraduate and postgraduate English language entry requirements under Band B.  Students coming for the full academic year who require a Student Visa will need to provide a valid IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson or other approved international test listed under sections 1-4.  This requirement is strict and cannot be waived.  For semester 1 students who do not require a Student Visa, Admissions may request a letter from the student’s home university as proof of English proficiency if applicable.  Admissions will provide the template which must be followed exactly.

ARRIVAL IN LONDON, EXAM PERIODS AND TRANSCRIPT DATES

We expect students to be in London to participate in our compulsory Orientation week between 16th – 20th September 2024, or at least to have arrived in time for the start of teaching on Monday 23rd September.  Late arrivals may be withdrawn from the programme if they have not been given explicit permission by King’s to arrive after the start of teaching.
