Erasmus+ KA171 Mobility

Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) opens up the opportunities for student and staff mobility not only within Europe but also in other parts of the world. Under ICM, a HEI in a third country not associated to the Programme can send their students and staff to a HEI in a third country not associated to the Programme and vice versa. Students are able to study abroad for a limited period of 2 to 12 months for which credits are obtained and recognized (long-term mobility). PhD students can also apply for mobility for a period of 5 to 30 days (short-term mobility). After the mobility phase, the students return to their sending institution to complete their studies. Staff is able to spend their mobility abroad for a limited period of 5 days (plus 2 days for travel).

Applicants and participants must respect any restrictions placed on EU external assistance imposed by the European Council. Applications have to be in line with the overall EU values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities as foreseen in art 2 of the Treaty of the European Union.
